How to Do Research

It might seem a little elementary, but then that's who this interactive web diagram is aimed at...but a good model is a good model whether it's this one, FINDS, the Big 6 or another.

This "how to do research" guide from Kentucky helps students work through the research process step-by-step, and each step links to examples, ideas, games and activities to help students learn to do research.

Gee, and you're working on your research right now...timely? Yes! Accidental? I think not!

Libraries Are Cool! So Freeze-N-Read!

This new Freeze-N-Read campaign was sent to me this morning via the Teacher Librarian Ning by a former student, Katherine Adams, of Lee County, FL.

What a great example of a student-LMS created website (they used Weebly) and a great effort to promote ALL libraries including, of course, school libraries!  Note the use of Web 2.0 tools, avatars, flyers, bookmarks, social networking, blogs, and more!

Please help promote the idea.  Participate in any way that you can!  It will help all of us.  I've tweeted it a couple of times today and hope it will go viral!

I hope to see a picture of you and yours reading on April 17 at 4 pm on this website!
